This leaderboard ranks UFC fighters by the average length of their bouts, measured from the opening bell to the moment the referee waves it off. Every fight is converted to seconds, averaged across the fighter's career, and shown in minutes. A low number means fights involving this fighter rarely reach the judges. Fighters need at least five qualifying UFC bouts to appear, which stops a single fluke stoppage from distorting the top of the list.
What a short average fight time actually measures
The All fights view is a measure of volatility, not of dominance. It counts a fighter's own defeats as well as their finishes, so a heavyweight whose nights usually end in the first round will sit high on this list whether he is the one landing the shot or absorbing it. That is why the Wins only tab exists: filtering down to victories isolates genuine finishing speed and separates the surgical closers from fighters who simply take part in short, chaotic fights. Reading the two views side by side is the fastest way to tell those profiles apart.
Weight class shapes these numbers heavily. Heavyweights and light heavyweights dominate the fast end of the board because a single clean shot ends a fight at those sizes, while flyweights and bantamweights sit far down the list even when they are aggressive finishers. Era matters too. A fighter whose career sat entirely in three-round preliminary bouts has a hard ceiling of fifteen minutes, whereas a champion with a run of five-round main events can average far longer without ever being passive.
