    🧱 About the Iron Chins

This leaderboard celebrates one of the most underrated qualities in mixed martial arts: the ability to lose without ever being finished. Every fighter here is a seasoned veteran with real defeats on their UFC record, yet not one of those losses came by knockout, TKO or submission — they were beaten only on the judges' scorecards, never put away. The number shown is their total recorded UFC fights, a measure of how long they've absorbed the sport's best without folding.

Durability like this is a blend of granite chin, sound defense, scrambling ability and sheer competitive stubbornness. It's what lets a fighter stay relevant across many years and hard nights. Line this up with our Iron Chin rankings, most fights and most decisions pages for the full picture of the sport's toughest survivors.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Who qualifies for this list?
Fighters with at least 10 recorded UFC bouts and at least 3 losses — so proven veterans who have genuinely been tested — whose losses ALL came by decision. Not a single defeat by knockout, TKO or submission. The fight-count minimum keeps it to durable careers rather than newcomers who simply haven't lost yet.
    Why require losses at all?
Because being finished is only meaningfully avoided if you've actually been in losing positions. A fighter who has never lost hasn't proven durability the same way as one who has lost several times — always on the scorecards, never on their back or their face. Requiring losses surfaces true chins, not just the undefeated.
Does this count fights outside the UFC?
No. We only look at bouts recorded in our database, so a fighter finished earlier in their career elsewhere can still appear here if their UFC losses were all decisions. It measures Octagon durability specifically.
