About Busiest Fighters in UFC History
Most fights crammed into a single calendar year
This leaderboard celebrates the busiest single-year schedules in UFC history — the fighters who fought the most times in one calendar year. We total each fighter's bouts per year from their full fight history and surface their most active year.
A packed year is a badge of toughness and availability: it usually means taking short-notice bouts, healing quickly, and staying in the gym year-round. Compare with our most fights all-time and most wins leaderboards to see who paired volume with results.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does this leaderboard measure?
For every fighter we count how many bouts they had in each calendar year, then show their single busiest year. It's a snapshot of the most relentless one-year schedules in UFC history — the fighters who barely left the cage.
Why is fighting a lot in one year impressive?
Modern UFC fighters average two to three bouts a year. Squeezing in four, five, or more means taking short-notice fights, recovering fast, and staying healthy — a throwback to an earlier, busier era of the sport.
Does this count fights outside the UFC?
No. We only count bouts recorded in our UFC database, so a fighter's true busiest year across all promotions may be higher.
