About Most UFC Main Events

The fighters who have headlined the most UFC cards

Every fighter ranked by how many UFC cards they have headlined, with the number of those main events they won under each name. Headlining is the clearest sign of how much the promotion trusts a fighter to sell a card.

A bout counts as the main event when the card is named after it (both fighters appear in the event's title) or, for cards with another kind of name, when it tops the official card. See also most five-round fights and most title fights.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does a co-main event count?
No. Only the bout the card is built around - the main event - counts. A co-main event is the second-billed fight, even when it is a title fight, so it does not appear here.
How is a main event decided?
Every card has one main event: the bout the event is named after - both fighters' names in its title, as in UFC 285: Jones vs. Gane - or, for cards named another way (UFC 100, UFC 87: Seek And Destroy), the bout at the top of the official card. Only bouts that took place are counted: a main event that has been announced but not yet fought is left out, while one that ended in a draw or a no contest still counts.
Is this the same as most five-round fights?
Not quite. Every UFC main event is scheduled for five rounds today, but early main events were not, and a title fight lower on the card is also five rounds. Our most five-round fights board counts the scheduled distance; this board counts the billing.
