Most Significant Strikes Absorbed in a UFC Win

Most significant strikes absorbed by the winner of a UFC bout, counted from the opponent's own round-by-round scorecard. Fights with round-by-round data, 1994–present.

50 record performances

The most punishment ever taken by a fighter who still got their hand raised — every significant strike absorbed, counted from the opponent's scorecard, in bouts that ended in a win.

The Fights They Won the Hard Way

Most striking records reward the fighter doing the hitting. This one does the opposite: it ranks the fighters who took the most significant strikes in a single UFC bout and still had their hand raised at the end of it. Every figure is read from the opponent's own round-by-round scorecard, so it is the punishment actually absorbed, not an estimate of it.

The list is short at the top for a reason. Volume like this usually decides a fight — a fighter eating 200 significant strikes has almost always lost by the time the horn goes. The names that survive it are the sport's durability stories: chins that held up for five rounds, fighters who banked damage of their own between the exchanges, and the occasional comeback that ended with the busier fighter unconscious.

How to read this board

The large figure is significant strikes absorbed; the smaller line beneath it is how many the opponent threw to land them. Use the division filter to see the record inside one weight class, and tap any row to open the full fight, where the round-by-round split shows exactly when the punishment came.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is "absorbed" counted here?
From the opponent's scorecard, not the winner's. Significant strikes absorbed are the strikes the other fighter is officially credited with landing across every round of that bout, so the figure is the punishment actually taken rather than an estimate. The smaller number beneath each figure is how many the opponent threw.
How rare is winning a fight after absorbing this much?
Very. Across the thousands of UFC wins with full round-by-round statistics, only a few dozen came after absorbing 150 or more significant strikes, and only a handful after 200. Fighters who take that volume usually lose, which is what makes this list a durability record rather than a striking one.
Has anyone absorbed this much and still finished the fight?
Yes, but rarely: almost every performance near the top of this board was won on the judges' scorecards. The best-known exception is Stipe Miocic, who absorbed 181 significant strikes from Daniel Cormier at UFC 241 in August 2019 and still stopped him in the fourth round to regain the heavyweight title.
Does this board include draws or no contests?
No. A bout has to have a recorded winner to appear, and only the winner's performance is listed. A draw or a no contest is not a win survived, so those bouts are excluded entirely rather than credited to either fighter.
